My Thoughts on Lectures (I won't allow them)

I am in no way what you would call a "trekky" (not that there's anything wrong with being a trekky, at least not inherently). I do happen to love The Wrath of Khan, but I've never seen any of the television shows, nor do I (fluently) speak Klingon. All of this being said, I am a bit excited for the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie.

Check out the new commercial above. There is one exchange in particular that I really love...

Kirk: Are you afraid or aren't you?
Spock: I will not allow you to lecture me.

Anyway, it just seems really intense and awesome. I thought I would take some of my favorite 'gluestick' pictures (Batmen at Bar and Nolte's Rampage) and re-create them to add the totally awesome line, "I will not allow you to lecture me."

First up, Christian Bale and Meryl Streep...

Bale: Look, let's be honest, Mamma Mia was RIDICULOUS. What were you thinking?

I won't allow YOU to lecture me.

Uh, right...

Now, George Lucas and Nick Nolte...

Look, I think the prequels were good.

They were NOT good. There were some good lightsaber duels, I'll give you that, but you have lost touch with the Force.

I won't allow YOU to lecture me.

Yeah, I'm sure Jar-Jar gives much better advice...
