A Tale of Two Pens

I think I've mentioned this, but I like pens. Or, let me be more specific: I like cool pens. I derive an inordinate amount of pleasure from cool pens, so much pleasure, in fact, that even menial tasks become extremely fun when using a said cool pen.

This past weekend I went to a Japanese stationary store and purchased what seemed to be a cool pen, although when I took it home and tried testing it out it didn't work. I threw away my receipt because the pen looked cool and I assumed it would work. Anyway, it didn't, so I went back to the stationary store and they wouldn't exchange without a receipt so I bought another "pen" which seemed pretty cool, perhaps not as cool as the first, but cool enough. Anyway, I kept the receipt and decided to test it out when I got a few blocks away. Turns out it was a pencil! Fortunately, this time I kept my receipt and was able to exchange for the pen version.

Anyway, that is my tale of pen woe.

The pen on the top is the first one I got that doesn't work. Price of pen on top: 7 something. Price of pen on botton: 9 something.

Writing with my new pen. If this picture had a sound clip, you would hear squeals of delight.
