Call me Captain Cousteau

"Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window, let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find..."

Oh hello - I didn't see you over there. Welcome. Ahem.

Anyway, this weekend I was fortunate enough to have many food adventures. In addition, I have acquired a new name: Captain Cousteau. Please call me that from now on.

First stop: Tortilleria Nixtamal, a Mexican tortilla factory/taqueria in Corono, Queens.

I got fish tacos. They were good, though perhaps not astounding.

On Saturday night I went to Franny's, an astounding pizza restaurant in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. We ended up getting 6 different pies, all good, some absurdly good.

Most of the pies with cheese use buffalo mozzarella, but this one had provolone and onions. I'm not sure if I have said this before, but onions on pizza are awesome.

On Sunday I went to Shake Shack. I got a hotdog. It was pretty good. I got sweet corn custard with shortbread cookies and whipped cream. It was awesome.

Then went to Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles, Inc. This was a very good place, although the server almost forced us to order dumplings, saying how great they were. Also, when one of us didn't finish our noodles, the server was convinced the person didn't like it and ended up bringing a dish of something else for her to try.
