This just in...
Sal & Carmine's, the best pizzeria on the Upper West Side, and arguably the best slice place in all of New York City, is currently closed for business. A sign posted on their window reads as follows: "Closed due to Emergency: Will re-open Tuesday, June 2nd."
The sign has been posted at least as of Friday, May 29.
We at Food&Pants wish the Sal & Carmine family all the best, hope the issue is resolved as best as possible, and cannot wait to again taste their delicious pizza.
