Chuck E Cheese Update

Oh, hi! Things are going great in Skeetsville. Don is just the greatest boss I could ask for, and all my other co-workers are great. Here is a brief rundown of some of my new best friends who work with me at Chuck E Cheese...

This is Skeet, who never never misses the chance to remind people that his name is Skeet and he is from Skeetsville. Skeet is a great kid, he loves the old school G.I. Joe television series, as well as Lost. Skeet works as a busyboy, and let me tell you, I've never seen anyone clear a table so quickly. I love this guy!

This is Matilda. Matilda hates bright colors and fashion magazines. She loves reading Russian literature and is generally in a bad mood. She's been spoken to by Don a couple of times for telling some of our younger customers that life is a sham. Oh Matilda!

On the left is Brandon and on the right is Jason. These guys are inseparable. They've been best friends forever. They work the game room, 'lifeguarding' the room of balls, sometimes dealing with urgent situations such as jammed arcade games, etc. They are total professionals, but they do like to have a good time!

This is Ed Bracker, but everyone calls him Tottles. Ed is the head dishwasher. He worked as an accountant for 30 years and came to work at Chuck E Cheese's after retiring. He has an amazing work ethic and an equally amazing sense of humor.

So anyway, so far things are going great. I will say, the suit does get really hot, and the kids can be quite feisty! And some of those parents -- sheesh! But I couldn't be happier, really. I mean, not once have I started questioning my decision to leave New York and take a minimum wage job at a children's pizza and game establishment where I constantly have to run around and make goofy gestures. What's to question?

Oh, I forgot to mention, the other day Tottles made a breadstick that looked like a mousetrap and put it in my locker. That Tottles! And then Skeet poured some of our signature marinara sauce on it and started eating it, even though it had been in my locker for goodness knows how long!

Anyway, more to come...
