Trader Joe's Dispatches

- Yesterday, while at Trader Joe's, I notice a bag of white cheddar popcorn.  I instantly think, "what a delightful snack."  I've had white cheddar popcorn from other supermarkets before, and I like it a lot.  Yet upon seeing it at Trader Joe's, more intense feelings come out.  For some reason, all of a sudden, I feel like white cheddar popcorn - from Trader Joe's - is one of the greatest things ever.  If only I could sit in my living room munching on Trader Joe's white cheddar popcorn, life would be good.  And it would, for the brief time it would take to eat the popcorn.

- This leads me to my next topic: mini chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's.  I stuck the bin in my fridge, and have two for breakfast, two before bed, and sets of two scattered in between.  When I'm feeling bored: mini chocolate peanut butter cups.  When I want a tasty treat: mini  chocolate peanut butter cups.  They briefly fill the void that is my soul.  For a moment, I am whole. Then it's gone, and soon I need to have a couple more.  They are so tasty, the perfect size, a better chocolate than what is found in a Reeses peanut butter cup, and they're Trader Joe's!

- I feel appreciably happier when in Trader Joe's.  If various medical tests were performed, my blood pressure would likely be lower, my pulse stronger and more rhythmic, cortisol levels lower, etc.

- Yesterday, I got some Trader Joe's gummy bears.  The package was really cute, with a (gummy) bear family standing around in the woods, much like I imagine (gummy) bears do.  When I open the package, I am hit by a fresh and fruity aroma.  The gummy's are firm, in the best tradition of gummy bears.  Clearly they were inspired by the Haribo excellence.  Yet they were better.  Perhaps for the simple reason that they were Trader Joe's gummy bears, and the packaging was really cute.
