Pant Frustration

OMG - I am FREAKING out. Ewwww!!!!!!

Ok, so, like, I am like REALLY upset. Last night I went to JCrew and tried on like 8 pairs of pants. Not one worth buying! There were two pairs that may have been good if I bought them and had them tailored, but then I started having tailor anxiety (will the tailor do a good j0b? will he be able to taper them the right way without making them too narrow? will i end up spending another $30 and not have a good result?).

I tried on different cuts and sizes. I tried on classic fit, regular fit, slim fit (which I believe is the old jargon for what is now called 'classic,' so in other words it's no different than classic fit) broken-in and officer chinos. I had been very excited about the officer chino but they were a huge disappointment.

These 'officer chinos' look great on the JCrew website, but in reality they were more like an 'enlisted and sent to a disciplinary unit' chino

Anyway, I just want to crawl into a hole. Why is finding good pants so difficult? I really don't think I have a difficult size. I just don't know what to do except to start wearing sweatpants, but quite frankly I am particular about my sweatpants, too, and can't even find ones I really like!
