I was browsing through the Banana Republic website and I stumbled upon a Bootcut Chino. They were bad. Real bad. I just could not understand what BR was thinking.
As you can see, the bootcut creates an offensive break (or really, lack thereof). These pants just sort of stop. And the widening of the pant leg is completely inappropriate. I'm not saying a bootcut can never work - it can - but in this case, well, look for yourself.
I was completely apalled by these pants and then I noticed that an anonymous tipster on the blog revealed some shocking pant news. I HIGHLY recommend you read the comment posted by this clandestine pant savior.
Anyway, all of a sudden, the BR pants didn't seem so bad. It's all relative, isn't it? Whomever this tipster is, he or she deserves a Medal of Honor. If only there could be more like him or her.
